Adventure
Begins Inside.

we’ve come a long way, baby.

As a young man growing up in the suburbs of Denver, Zach was on the fast-track. He was a captain on his elite-level hockey team, an ace in the classroom, and was closely connected with his friends and family. But somewhere inside, he just felt… empty. He sought to fill this hole with success, with fitness & strength, with spiritual books, with learning, with humor, with girls, with friends, with chemicals, just about everything you could think of. But the hole inside grew.

He fought his way up to the top Div. I school for hockey, won a national championship, won academic and leadership awards galore, and came out of college with a resumΓ© most people would kill for. He proved himself to be a great young coach as he worked with athletes in the off-seasons and with elite-level teams and programs after graduation. He had all the tools and gifts a guy could want (he even had a full head of hair). But still, the hole inside grew and grew.

While he was adept with creating team cultures which produced leaders and helping others find their best mindset, discover their purpose, and create their ideal future, he was increasingly unable to lead his own life in a healthy way. In an effort to numb the pain of his trapped, unused potential, he self-medicated and came close to death on many occasions.

In 2015, Zach finally woke up. He realized he would either need to face his pain, to jump into the black hole inside to see what was at the bottom, or his self-medication would surely kill him, as it nearly had many times already. When he at last faced himself, he found the key to everything β€” Power, Clarity, and Motivation β€” and he has since transformed his life from the inside-out.

Zach has taken his experience from coaching thousands of hockey players, young and old, over the last two decades, along with coaches, families, and directors, and rolled it forward into a platform for powerful life coaching relationships. He specializes in leadership, culture, and mindset training for high performers. He currently serves as the Leadership & Performance Coach for the Colorado Thunderbirds and Littleton Hawks hockey programs. He works by referral and invite only. If you’d like to apply to work with Zach, please reach out to 833-994-GROW or Zach@ZachBloom.org. He’d love to get to know you over a brief call and help in any way he can, though most people do not end up becoming clients.
